The Higher Ground Legal Stash Box, Micro-Dose Edition! A Highly Curated Cannabis Collection

By Michael A. Stusser

Cannabis is getting customized, and consumers are dialing in their doses. A popular new trend is “micro-dosing” – taking a small amount of a cannabis product so as to get a nice buzz, without being TOO high. Individuals can then add incrementally as they fine-tune their comfort level. Micro-dosing is also often used for therapeutic purposes – to relive pain or anxiety (with higher doses of THC), or to improve mood or heighten creativity. Micro-dosing is great for folks getting back into the ganja game, allowing consumers to go slow and increase dosages in small increments.

Curated from legal markets across the country, this month’s Higher Ground Legal Stash Box is highlighting the best in micro-dosing – including low-dose edibles, tinctures, pastilles and controlled-dose vaporizers. Hand selected by Michael Stusser, host of Higher Ground TV, the items in each anthology represent the gold standard of legal offerings for cannabis connoisseurs!

HGMicroBoxTallThe notable selections in this month’s Higher Ground Legal Stash Box include:

DaVinci MIQRO Vaporizer. Far too many high-end vaporizers are bulky and not designed for those on-the-go (or in formal wear). Luckily, the folks at DaVinci have crafted an ultra-portable vape designed to fit the out-and-about lifestyle. The MIQRO is 33% smaller than its predecessor (also a well-built beauty), and designed for the solo vape connoisseur, convection-cooking your cannabis to the perfect temp. Excellent for hitting at a concert, outdoor session, or out for the night, eventually you’ll wind up taking the MIQRO pretty much everywhere.

Wyld Canna. Based in Oregon, WYLD uses real-fruit ingredients to make some of the best tasting edibles in legal cannabis. Their Raspberry gummies are made with real fruit and are enhanced with sativa terpenes that assist in creating euphoric and energizing experiences.  Ideal for keeping you focused on the task at hand, refining your creative endeavors, or getting you out on your next inventive expedition! WYLD celebrates our highest ambitions and adventurous lifestyles, allowing consumers to enjoy what brings us together.

Sativa Valley. Sativa Valley Blueberry CBD tincture is formulated to help reduce anxiety, inflammation, and aid in insomnia relief. Paired with a variety of fruit extract flavors, their tinctures are grown on an organic farm in the Olympic Mountains of Washington. The sublingual tincture is placed under the tongue to produce different effects depending on the serving size: calming and anxiety relief effects at low milligram servings sizes, while anti-inflammatory and muscle pain relief is achieved with medium to higher milligram serving sizes. Best of all, Sativa Valley participates in “Wildcrafting” – an age-old practice of collecting plant materials in their natural habitat for food, medicine, and craft.

Kiva Terra Bites: KIVA’s Terra Bites are almost too delicious – as you don’t want to be popping handfuls of chocolate-covered THC coffee beans all day long. In moderation, however, Terra Bites are a great microdosing option. Hand-crafted and using all natural ingredients, these featured Terra Bites use milk chocolate, cocoa powder and US-grown blueberries. YumBuzz!

highergtv logoZOOTS. ZootRocks are a damn good way to begin experimenting with micro-dosing. Each ZootRock contains just 5mg of THC, so it’s easy to control the experience. The featured Lemongrass nuggets have a tart sweetness blended with a Cypress THC Extract. They’re handmade from naturally sourced ingredients, and sugar and gluten-free, providing a good introduction (or re-introduction) to cannabis.

Mari’s Mints: Mari’s cannabis-infused mints come it a variety of flavors and formulas (Move, Retire, Replenish) tailored to fit your day. Featuring sativa (for an energy boost and creative juice), indica (for Netflixxing and Chill) or CBD for pain relief, the mints are crafted with precision to deliver consistent doses. An extra bonus? The groovy tins can be used as stash box for storing your weed!

Mr. Moxey’s Mints. Moxey’s micro dosed mints are crafted in small batches and formulated with herbal synergists tailored to elevate the experience. Mints are all-natural, and infused with cannabis free of pesticides. Available in a variety of flavors and formulas, this month’s box features CBD Ginger, which include Indian Gooseberry to support rejuvenation and Echinacea to boost immunity.

The Dose Pen. Dosist (previously hmbldt) gets as much hype as Tesla (and is barely less expensive). Their innovative delivery devices (aka pens) are scientifically designed and dialed in for consumers to get controlled and accurate doses. Best of all, the pen vibrates when you’ve gotten a pre-measured dose. Formulas include Arouse, Calm, Bliss, Sleep, and our fav, Passion.

The Goodship Company Tart Cherry Pastilles. Tart and fruity, Goodship confections are made from all-natural, locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients. Each “sweet tart” pastille is micro dosed at 2.5mg per piece, giving a consistent, uplifting and delicious experience each go-round. Goodship packaging is among the best in the business, and these tarts come in a beautiful embossed tin – which you can put joints and buds in when the pastilles are gone.

Beboe Pastiles. Beboe is a luxury cannabis brand, and has been called the Hermes of Marijuana. Beboe pastilles are carefully crafted with the finest organic ingredients and natural flavors to give a subtle, measured and mellow high. The elegant packaging fits into any sophisticated setting – but be sure to keep ‘em out of the reach of kids.

Washington Legal Pot Prices Fall To Under $10 In July

WASHINGTON: The price of legal marijuana at Washington’s legal recreational pot shops has fallen to an historic low of under $10 per gram of flower. Industry insiders place the cause squarely on the state’s newly rejiggered marijuana laws. Consumers and retailers are happy with the new low price points; while many producer/processors are struggling to differentiate.

“The impact of HB 2136 was dramatic on the price of marijuana in the WA retail shops,” said Brian Yauger, CEO of Front Runner, formerly TetraTrak, a leading provider of business intelligence for the legal cannabis industry.  “The average cost of a gram of flower dropped almost 25% a gram to under $10.  That now puts i502 recreational prices on par with medical.”

HB2136, signed into law on June 30th by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, consolidates cannabis excise tax, and allows local jurisdictions to share marijuana tax revenues to encourage more cities and counties to allow for legal pot shops.  It went into effect on July 1st, and the result was an immediate drop in retail sales prices.

In response, Front Runner and Marijuana Business Association have teamed up to present the 2015 Washington Marijuana Retailer Seminar on October 5th at the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue, WA.    The MJBA Professional Seminar will feature presentations from Yauger and TetraTrak CDO Joe Armes, who will provide a comprehensive look at the WSLCB wholesale and retail sales data to date, with an eye toward giving 502 retailers actionable business intelligence.

“I want every retailer who attends this seminar to feel that they’ve gotten the value of the ticket price back in the first 15 minutes of the event,” Yauger told MJNN.

Leading Retailer Uncle Ike’s founder Ian Eisenberg will be a featured speaker and panelist. He’ll be joined by an impressive lineup of top retailers including Evergreen Market, Satori and The Joint.  Top cannabis brands Zoots, Mirth Provisions, Evergreen Herbal, Buddy Boy Farm and Monkey Grass Farms will participate as featured panelists.  Event sponsors include Green Bits, PayQwick, Visual Options, CannaVentures and Sky High Gardens.

Meet Seattle’s First Edible Marijuana Producer: Db3

WASHINGTON:  Seattle is now home to the first business in Washington that is licensed to produce edible forms of marijuana.

Db3 Inc. had its producer license and processor license granted by the Liquor Control Board on July 9. Db3 will be growing and producing its own edible marijuana products, as well as supporting independent producers by buying marijuana from them to use in the creation of its products, all of which will be marketed under the brand name Zoots.

(While Db3 was first in the state to be granted a license to produce edibles, Green Chiefs of Granite Falls made it to market first, at a retail outlet in Bellingham, on Wednesday night.)

Db3 and Zoots were founded by Michael, Dan, and Patrick Devlin. The three brothers each have decades of business experience; one has experience in food production.

Washington State Approves First Producer Of Pot Edibles

WASHINGTON:  A Seattle-based company that makes marijuana-infused drinks and candies has become the first business in Washington approved to make edible pot products for the state’s newly opened stores, officials said Wednesday.

Db3 Inc, which will trade under the brand name Zoots, received its license on Tuesday, meaning it can begin growing marijuana and using it to make recreational edibles in an approved commercial kitchen.

State officials said two other companies were awarded processing licenses, but did not yet have approved kitchens.

“This is a landmark day, not only for Db3 as a company, but also for the consumers facing a potential shortage of edible products at retail outlets,” the firm’s president, Michael Devlin, said in a statement.
