Ohio Board of Pharmacy Updated Patient & Caregiver Numbers For May 2019


OHIO: The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy today published updated patient & caregiver numbers for May 2019. These numbers include:

  • 42,372 Recommendations
  • 35,162 Registered patients with recommendations
    • 2,677 Patients with Veteran Status
    • 1,434 Patients with Indigent Status
    • 385 Patients with a Terminal Diagnosis
  • 20,074 Unique patients who purchased medical marijuana (as reported to OARRS by licensed dispensaries)
  • 3,299 Registered Caregivers

OHIO:  The following are program sales totals from 1/16/2019 to 2/24/2019:

Total sales: $1,196,959
Total volume of product sold: 159 pounds

The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program will provide weekly sales figures through April 1st after which a monthly report will be made available.

Patient registration information will continue to be reported on a monthly basis.

Ohio Board Of Pharmacy Announces Fourth Week Statistics For MMJ Patient & Caregiver Registry


OHIO: After accepting patient registrations for four weeks, the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program has 4,964 recommendations in the Patient and Caregiver Registry. Of those with a recommendation, 3,575 have activated their Registry Card.

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy will continue to provide weekly updates through December after which a monthly report will be available.

Ohio Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee November 2018 Meeting Notice

OHIO: THE OMMCP has announced that its Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on November 8, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Please note there will be an additional afternoon session beginning at 1:00 p.m.

OHIO: The Ohio Department of Commerce has announced Act Laboratories as recipient of private testing lab provision license.  The recipients of the processor provisional licenses include:


  • ACT Laboratories, Inc.
  • Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus
  • North Coast Testing Laboratories, LLC

The Ohio Department of Commerce continues to finalize the reviews of the private testing labs. There is no limit to the number of testing lab licenses that may be awarded. An additional period for testing lab applications will be opening soon.


  • Central State University
  • Hocking Technical College


The Ohio Department of Commerce accepted public university testing lab applications from September 11, 2017, though September 21, 2017, and privately-held testing lab applications from November 27, 2017, through December 8, 2017. In total, the Department received nine testing lab applications. Central State University and Hocking College submitted applications during the university testing lab application period.

The Department will continue its review of these testing lab applications and make an award once these reviews are completed. There is no limit to the number of testing lab licenses that may be awarded by the Department.


The MMCP and the Department of Commerce have released the application, forms, and instructions for private companies to apply for a license to conduct laboratory testing of medical marijuana and medical marijuana products.
