Many Turned Away From Vegas Medical Marijuana Forum

NEVADA:  A public forum on local medical marijuana regulations Wednesday night draws such a large crowd that dozens who wanted to get in are turned away.

The meeting on licensing and zoning was the first of two the city of Las Vegas will conduct. The discussion centered around a 38-page regulation draft that is already sparking concern.

Among the proposed regulations include:

  • Security requirements that include a minimum of three security guards and 24-hour surveillance.
  • No infused products can look like candy, gum or other things that would attract children.
