Fenton Proposes To Limit Medical Marijuana Growing In Residential Areas

MICHIGAN:  Medical marijuana patients may grow their own at home, but if they want to raise a crop for others, they’ll have to find space in the city’s industrial or commercial districts, according to a proposed new ordinance.

The proposal has some medical marijuana advocates seeing red.

Under the proposed ordinance, caregivers will only be able to grow for one person in a residential home.

Michigan law allows caregivers to grow up to 12 plants for each of six patients, including themselves.
