Short Film “Recalculating” Screening Is Sept 8th At CWCBExpo Los Angeles

CALIFORNIA: The new award-winning stoner comedy,“Recalculating,” starring Zack Pearlman (The Intern), Peter Gilroy (Bath Boys Comedy), Brina Palencia (Borderland) and Academy Award winner, Cloris Leachman, will screen at the upcoming 3rd Annual Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo (CWCBExpo) in Los Angeles in September.

The short film will play as part of the CWCBExpo Networking Event, Thursday, September 8th, at 6 p.m. at the L.A. Convention Center’s Petree Hall. The event is open to anyone with a CWCBExpo trade show and conference badge. Recalculating, directed by Diane Fredel-Weis, follows two friends (Pearlman and Gilroy) as they hotbox their car en route to a party. The trip takes an unexpected turn when their GPS (voiced by Palencia) goes haywire and takes them on a wild ride encountering an eccentric driver (Leachman) along the way.

Fredel-Weis’ company, Laugh More Entertainment, worked with Revek Entertainment (producer of the Sundance Short winner, Whiplash, and more recently The Tribes of Palos Verdes) to produce “Recalculating.” Fredel-Weis is a former creative marketing executive with The Walt Disney Company and wrote the Showtime film, “Inconceivable.”

Following CWCBExpo, Recalculating will screen at the L.A. Indie Film Festival (Sept. 15-18), and Chicago Comedy Film Fest (November 11-12). For more information, please visit
