ALASKA: Snoop Dogg has made sure over the years that his love for all things weed-related has been well documented, so he’s found something of a kindred spirit in former Alaskan news reporter Charlo Greene. The former KTVA reporter just recently quit her post in dramatic fashion by revealing that she was the owner of the Alaska Cannibis Club. To formally relinquish her job, she closed her statement with “fuck it, I quit.” As NME points out, Snoop obviously found a lot to love, snagging Greene for an interview on his GGN webcast and promising to play a show in Alaska if the state is able to legalize marijuana on its next ballot.
“If we get y’all to vote yes on Proposition 2, Snoop Dogg is coming to Alaska to do a concert, a wellness retreat concert, and I’m bringing some of that California with me to celebrate.” theDoggystyle rapper said.
The recent Flying Lotus collaborator says he’s registering his support for Greene rather than a host of other advocates because she demonstrates that “it’s not just a bunch of thug dudes that’s trying to push weed.” There’s probably a lot of crossover between people that would vote “yes” on a marijuana legalization proposition and people that would want to see a Snoop Dogg concert, but just in case you fall in the latter camp and not the former, Snoop’s given you something to think about. You can watch the whole interview above.
