Rob Ford 'Not A Good Poster Child' For Marijuana Legalization: Tommy Chong

“I think if you want to end up legalizing marijuana in Canada you gotta get rid of your mayor, man,” said Chong in an interview with the Star. “He’s just not a good poster child for the legalization cause, if you know what I mean.”

CANADA:  Toronto mayor Rob Ford has spoken favorably of marijuana decriminalization. He has even said he has smoked “a lot” of pot and was once arrested in the U.S. for possession.

So you would think über pot advocate and legendary comedian and activist Tommy Chong would be rooting for the city’s embattled mayor.

The world’s biggest celebrity pot advocate also happens to be Canadian. He was born in Edmonton, gaining fame with comedy partner Richard “Cheech” Marin in movies such as cult classic Up In Smoke. He served time in jail for selling drug paraphernalia, mostly bongs.
