Medical Marijuana Debate Draws 300 To Palm Beach State College

More than 300 people attended medical marijuana debate at Palm Beach State College.

FLORIDA: A proposal to legalize medical marijuana in Florida would create a “tightly regulated system” to help sick people, an advocate said during a debate Wednesday, while an opponent argued the referendum would make Florida a place where “pretty much anybody with a pulse can get marijuana.”

More than 300 people attended the debate at Palm Beach State College between Aaron Houston of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, who supports the ballot question, and opponent Kevin Sabet, the director of the Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida and an adviser to several anti-drug efforts.
