WASHINGTON: The legalization of marijuana inspired a local landlord to create a progressive new pot policy in his rental units. Jon Adams spoke to KREM 2 News on Tuesday and said he is allowing pot smokers on his property.
The owner of the Manor Vale Apartments said he is just following along with the times. Adams decided to let his tenants smoke openly because votes approved the legalization of recreational marijuana in November 2012. Adams said other landlords should follow his lead.
“It basically says that although we don’t condone its use, we do not discriminate against marijuana use in our units,” said Adams.
However, the progressive policy stops there. Adams said he does not allow illegal drugs on his property.
