Curved Papers’ Drops Third “Bodega Bars” Hip-Hop Video with Kwēn Dizzy’s “No Kap”!

June 1, 2022 by MJ News Network Leave a Comment

NEW YORK:  New York’s cutting edge cannabis rolling papers brand, Curved Papers, debuts the third winner in its Bodega Bars music promotion: Kwēn Dizzy. Dizzy made her mark at a young age back in Brooklyn — influenced by A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie Smalls, and the many other sounds of New York.

She became an influencer herself, musically, from dancing in school to becoming a part of a band, and even being a music teacher. She’s always pushed. Not only herself but those who share the same passion as her, and those who have needed her help.

The Bodega Bars™ series will showcase 12 new music videos from 12 local artists, shot completely at their local bodega, corner store, or smoke shop.

Forever in NYC, Hip Hop and the corner store have been connected, and rolling papers is the reason why. Curved Papers is paying homage to that relationship with Bodega Bars™, and showcasing some of the 500 local bodegas, corner stores, and smoke shops around NY where you can find Curved Papers products.

The first installments of Bodega Bars™, Solo Jones’ “Frank,” and Sha Summers’ “That Guy” have gotten hundreds of thousands of views!

Kwēn Dizzy is notable for writing her own rhymes and connecting with others through her music, bringing back a 90’s flow and attitude. Some would even say there’s a psychedelic vibe to her music.

In 2019 Dizzy dropped her debut album, Acquired Taste, showcasing her broad talent and reaching a diverse audience.

More recently, Kwēn Dizzy dropped an album entitled Flāvors, bringing 10 tracks, that she considers “what we need for 2022.” The album gives us rap, house, hip-hop, and pop – it hits the spot by bringing Flāvors and touches your soul.

This video was created by Joseph O’Malley a photographer, filmmaker, and interdisciplinary artist from New York. They started their career as a theater photographer and video creator, combining their backgrounds as a playwright and film producer. They’ve shot projects with numerous Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony, and Golden Globe winning artists, and their work has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Town & Country Magazine, High Times Magazine, The Detroit Metro Times, The Seattle Stranger, and many others. Joseph now primarily works as an independent fine artist, as well as an inter disciplinary visual producer collaborating primarily with musicians.

The “No Kap” video came together at the Halsey Supermarket & Deli, at 169 Halsey Street in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where Amin and fam run the show 24/7. They are rocking Curved® Papers for Bed-Stuy day and night. #everybodyrolleasy
