COLORADO: Milky Ways, Snickers and Skittles – trick-or-treaters will be coming home with bags of candy Thursday night.
But there’s one type of candy that parents need to be on the lookout for: marijuana-laced candy.
Police say parents should watch out for this kind of candy that someone may try to pass off as normal.
9NEWS Medical Expert Dr. John Torres says, even if consumed, it is hard to get to a toxic level in small children, but there are dangerous side effects.
“They can get high anxiety. They can get panic attacks, and that’s very concerning,” Dr. Torres said.
