Recreational Marijuana Zoning Back At Everett City Council Wednesday

Beginning November 18th the State will begin accepting applications for those who want into the recreational marijuana business in Everett. The State will issue five licenses to sell marijuana within the city limits of Everett. There is no limit on the number of producer and processor licenses within Everett.

WASHINGTON:  Now that the State of Washington has refined its rules for growing, processing and selling recreational marijuana, the City of Everett is ready to move forward on the issue.

Beginning November 18th the State will begin accepting applications for those who want into the recreational marijuana business in Everett. The State will issue five licenses to sell marijuana within the city limits of Everett. There is no limit on the number of producer and processor licenses within Everett.

To try to gain some control over this new industry Everett City Council members will consider a set of interim zoning regulations.

The Everett City Council will hold the first reading of the proposed ordinance Wednesday night at 6:30pm. A public hearing is now set for October 23rd.
