Jackson Lawmakers Set to Pass Revised Medical Marijuana Ordinance Amid Protests

MICHIGAN: Jackson City Council members are set to adopt a revised medical marijuana ordinance Tuesday evening after public outcry halted the approval of the original version.Three provisions of the ordinance came under fire and were pegged as the most controversial following the law’s introduction, and two of the provisions have been removed from the ordinance.

The stipulations that tenants provide a statement from their landlord allowing for the use of medical marijuana within an apartment or rental house and prohibiting “combustible materials” within a home where medical marijuana is grown were removed.
