6 Ways Companion Marijuana Bills In Congress Could Change America

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA:  The introduction of a companion states’ rights bill covering medical marijuana in the U.S. House on Tuesday was a step toward sanity in Washington D.C. that’s worth noting.

House bill H.R. 1538 was submitted by the usual suspects in the House, but it’s a companion to a U.S. Senate bill (S.683) introduced earlier this month that had surprising bipartisan sponsors.

That bills rescheduling marijuana out of the worst-of-all-drugs category, forcing the federal government to back out of states with medical marijuana laws and otherwise ending the catastrophic war on drugs have now been introduced in the House and Senate is historic.
